South Duke Street Improvements:
Church to Dauphin Streets: Median Strip, back in angled parking, bulb outs at curb intersections, two new traffic signals at North and Dauphin Streets, dura-therm crosswalks at all intersections, repaving of street: Bid advertisement: July 27, Bid approval by PennDOT: August 31, Bids awarded: Early October, Notice to Proceed: October 27, 2006. City will waive all permitting fees.

South Duke Street Residential Façade and Code Related Renovations:
HOME funds will be used to rehabilitate a minimum of 3 residential properties along South Duke Street (these properties have been on our Façade Improvement Program waiting list for the past three years). These projects will begin when the funds become available.

Crispus Attucks Renovations (404 S. Duke Street) Construction is underway on the interior of the structure, with a scheduled completion of November 2006.

East King Pocket Park Status Have had 4 public meetings for public design input with design team. Currently construction drawings and specification are being developed. This office to complete the front end of the specification and forward to design firm. EKID to secure funding to proceed to the construction phase of the project.

Churchpoint Pocket Park Remaining item to be installed is the trash receptacle to be done with volunteer assistance. Work ongoing to decide mural theme and finance artist to create mural that will adorn wall behind park. (Five Points neighborhood Association) Dedication: Sept 30 at 11:30 am.

Howard Avenue & Mifflin Street Streetscapes Initial public meetings with design professionals scheduled to begin in late September 06.

Puerto Rican Community Center Streetscapes Under construction for sidewalk, curb, ADA accessible ramping, and street trees.
Planning

ChurchTown Area completed master plan development for target area. Have held 5 public meetings with design professionals to include building facades, streetscape improvements, clean and green issues as well as safety issues within this target area. Last meeting allowed public to review 10 issues and to set a priority list by consensus for this target area.

ELM Street Homeownership Demonstration Projects Homeownership Promotion Working with SACADC on three properties on Howard Avenue (103 Howard, 121 Howard, 123 Howard) to convert landlord owned properties to owner-occupied units. CCNEC will help promote and implement home ownership program in Howard Avenue neighborhoods.

Puerto Rican Committee Cultural Center Assisting in the implementation of streetscape and façade improvements. Façade Improvement Application has been submitted

Arbor Place Assisting in the development of cost estimates for conversion housing project of multi-family to single family rental unit, located adjacent to their youth recreation facility, and providing Elm Street Façade Improvement funds for exterior renovations.

Milagros Hair Salon - 13-15 Church Street Mixed Use Residential and Commercial Façade Improvement Project, and possible Elm Street demonstration grant participant; Developing drawings and specifications for HARB submission and ADA modifications to business.

East King Fire Department Memorial Through Elm Street Façade Improvement Program, Assisting EKID and Fire Department with funding to install memorial at fire station. Completed

Weed and Seed Program

• TALL TEAM Program 8 Graduates from this year's class
• Jr. Park Rangers Program winding up eight week program with 9 neighborhood youths working to maintain neighborhood parks, including Roberto Clemente Park and pocket parks located throughout the southeast neighborhoods.
• Administration of the Adopt-a-Park Program that involves community groups in park maintenance and clean-up.
• Sponsored a summer youth basketball team at Arbor Place
